D. B. Stock Antique Oriental Carpets was established in January of 1985 by Douglas and Helen Stock. For more than two decades, Douglas and Helen have been leading specialists in 19th century rugs and carpets from Persia and The Caucasus. The Stocks work closely with a national clientele of discerning collectors and individuals interested in furnishing with top level pieces, especially weavings from the Fereghan district in central Persia's Sultanabad province; Heriz ("Serapi") weavings from northwest Persia's Azerbaijan province; Bidjar weavings from northwest Persia's Kurdistan province; and Kazak, Shirvan and Kuba weavings from the Caucasus Mountain region.

When you call or visit D. B. Stock Antique Carpets, you will not been handed off to a sales person; you will receive personal attention from Helen or Douglas Stock. Highly regarded as scholars in their field, Helen and Douglas have published numerous articles in magazines and trade publications, in addition to having spoken several times at the Textile Museum in Washington D.C., and once at the Cleveland Rug Society. Douglas serves on the Vetting Committee of the Winter Antiques Show in New York. Since 1991, Helen and Douglas have been members of the Art and Antiques Dealers League of America, a consortium of approximately one hundred of the leadings antiques dealers in North America; and of La Confederation International des Negociants en Oeures d' Art (The International Confederation of Dealers of Works of Art, generally known as CINOA). The Stocks exhibit at the Delaware Antiques Show (A benefit for Winterthur Museum); and at the Wilton, Conneticut Historical Society Antiques Show.

The Stocks operate a gallery in the lovely college town of Wellesley, Massachusetts, located approximately twelve miles West of Boston. Gallery hours are generally 12-6 pm Monday through Saturday, but a call ahead is appreciated as appointments outside the gallery can cause us to be out occasionally during regular hours.
