     Douglas and Helen Stock have operated an antique oriental rug gallery in the charming college town of Wellesley, Massachusetts (12 miles west of Boston) since 1987. Prior to that, Helen and Douglas had a very small gallery on Newbury St. in Boston. Since the establishment of D.B Stock Antique Persian Carpets in 1985, Helen and Douglas have sought to work closely with their national clientele in the furnishing of fine homes with exceptional antique oriental rugs and carpets and the building of outstanding antique carpet collections. D. B. Stock Antique Carpets draws a large antique oriental rug clientele from New York, Washington, D.C. and other areas of the United States, in addtion to their antique rug clientele in the metropolitan Boston, Ma. area.

         Helen and Douglas have written articles or been quoted in numerous antiques related publications. D.B. Stock Antique Persian Carpets advertisements have appeared many times in international publications such as HALI magazine, The Magazine Antiques, and Antiques & Fine Art magazine. For a quarter of a century, the Stocks have exhibited at many of the United States' premier antiques shows. In addition to operating their Wellesley antique rug gallery, D. B. Stock Antique Carpets exhibits at the International Conference on Oriental Carpets. The Stocks have spoken three times at The Textile Museum in Washinton D.C.. Since 1991, the Stocks have been members of the Art and Antique Dealers League of America, Inc., a consortium of 96 of North America's foremost antiques specialists. D.B. Stock Antique Persian Carpets is also a member of the International Confederation of Dealers in Work of Art (CINOA).                                                       Helen Stock received a B.A. in Political Science and English from Boston College. Helen subsequently did considerable study in business at the Harvard University Extension School. An avid gardener, Helen served as president of the Country Garden Club of Weston, Massachusetts during the 50th Anniversary year of the Club's founding. Helen represented the Club as the designer/arranger for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston "Art In Bloom" in 2005. With a gentle temperament and brilliant intellect, Helen is easy to speak with and greatly helps clients to feel comfortable in the process of learning about antique Oriental Rugs and Carpets.

    Douglas Stock received a B.A. in Philosophy from Gordon College. Douglas subsequently held a Phillip Francis DuPont graduate fellowship, also in Philosophy, at the University of Virginia. Douglas was a long time member of the board of directors of the Art and Antique Dealers League of America. Douglas serves on the antique carpets vetting committee at the New York Winter Antiques Show.
