Douglas and Helen Stock have operated a gallery in Wellesley, Massachusetts (12 miles west of Boston) since 1987. Prior to that, they had a very small gallery on Newbury St. in Boston. Since D.B Stock's founding in 1985, Helen and Douglas have sought to work closely with their national clientele in the furnishing of fine homes with exceptional carpets and the building of outstanding antique carpet collections.

Helen and Douglas have written articles or been quoted in various antique related publications. Over the course of the last two decades, the Stocks have exhibited at many of the United States' premier antiques shows. In addition to operating their gallery, the Stocks still exhibit at the Delaware Antiques Show (a benefit for Winterthur Museum), the Wilton, CT. Historical Society Antiques Show, The American Conference on Oriental rugs and the International Conference on Oriental Carpets. The Stocks have spoken several times at the Textile Museum.

Helen received a B.A. in Political Science and English from Boston College. Helen subsequently did considerable study in business at the Harvard University Extension School. An avid gardener, Helen has served as president of the Country Garden Club of Weston, Massachusetts. Helen represented the club as the designer/arranger for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston "Art In Bloom" in 2005.

Douglas received a B.A. in Philosophy from Gordon College. Douglas subsequently held a Phillip Francis DuPont graduate fellowship, also in Philosophy, at the University of Virginia. Douglas was a long time member of the board of directors of the Art and Antique Dealers League of America. Douglas serves on the carpets vetting committee at the New York Winter Antiques Show.
